One Run 2024 Marathon took place at the Emaar Sales Centre, Karachi, on Sunday where Raza Mohammad emerged victorious in the 10km category as he finished the distance in 41 minutes and 07 seconds.
The mission of One Run, an annual international large-scale road running, is to popularise the sport within the population and to encourage cultural exchange between different countries.
Pakistan participated in the One Run Marathon for the first time. The purpose of the marathon was to engage people from different backgrounds in one collective run where they would participate and engage in a physical activity that is not just essential for health but also to build relationships.
The event was divided into four different categories:
Half Marathon (21km): For daring athletes over 18
10km Run: For runners over 18.
5km Fun Run: For beginners from 16 years old.
1km Kids Run: For young athletes from 6 years old.
21km boys winners
1- Israr Khattak (1 hour, 17 minutes 17 seconds)
2- M.Sajjad (1 hour, 19 minutes, 12 seconds)
3- Adnan (1 hour, 21 minutes, 21 seconds)
21km girls winners
1- Mumtaz (1 hour, 54 minutes, 19 seconds)
2- Sehrish (2 hours, 1 minute, 40 seconds)
3- Qandeel (2 hours, 6 minutes, 7 seconds)
10km Marathon winners:
In 10km, Raza Mohammad won the race as the completed the distance in the least time.
1- Raza Mohammad completed a 10km distance in 41 minutes and 07 seconds
2- Mohammad Waqas completed a 10km distance in 42 minutes and 39 seconds
3- Faisal completed the 10km distance in 43 minutes and 49 seconds
Half Marathon 21km Winners:
Meanwhile, Mumtaz Niamat won the Half Marathon 21km.
